| UK Met Office loses BBC contract due to climate bias |

 The BBC has put its long term weather forecasting contract up for bid, after 87 years of employing the UK Met Office, a government-owned meteorological department.
The UK Met Office is a partner with the Climate Research Unit (CRU) at East Anglia University, the organization the climategate e-mails leaked from and frequently supplies information to the IPCC. The contract ended after the past year when it forecast a warm summer and a mild winter, but instead Britain faced a cold, rainy summer and one of the worst winders in a decade. Many are blaming the UK Met's weather forecasts on an admitted climate change bias. Piers Corbyn, the independent weather forecaster, has said according to an article in the BBC, "the Met Office failed to warn of extreme events in their seasonal forecasts because they are employing a computer model based on the assumption of man-made climate change." Due to their bad science the UK Met Office hasn't just lost the BBC, but many firms in the private sector as well. If the IPCC is basing its weather predictions on a organization that cannot accurately predict weather twelve months from now, it's no wonder they're also 100's of years off in their other research as well.
