lawyer_slams_Al_GoreJohn_DayA leading UK lawyer, who represented the parent that sued Al Gore in the British High Court, has laughed off claims by the former vice-president that the judge ruled in his favour.

Speaking from London John Day, a senior partner in Malletts Solicitors, said Mr Gore was misrepresenting what the judge had found. Mr Day represented a British parent who sued the UK Ministry of Education when they wanted to distribute and show Mr Gore's documentary An Inconvenient Truth to every British school child. In the 2006 documentary Mr Gore claimed humanity is in danger because of man made Global Warming. He also claimed flooding and disease would increase with the destruction of most of the world's major cities including New York, London and Shanghai. As a result Mr Gore was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize and the documentary won an Oscar.

However, after a lengthy hearing a High Court Judge, Mr Justice Burton, found that An Inconvenient Truth contained significant scientific errors in nine key areas.

But questioned about the embarasing High Court decision during a current trip to Australia Mr Gore stated on ABC Australia "Well, the ruling was in my favour".

However, this has been rejected by Mr Day who said Mr Gore's latest claims are "difficult to square with the reality of the judgement".

"The judge found there were nine serious scientific errors in the film."

He said the court ordered that the film was "not suitable to be shown in British schools without a health warning".

"Mr Justice Burton said an Inconvenient Truth wasn't fit to be shown in British schools without suitably corrected guidance which drew attention to the errors in the film and its political partisanship."

Among the errors listed by Mr Justice Burton were Mr Gore claims that rising sea levels would destroy cities in the near future, that the polar bear was endangered and that the snows of Kilimanjaro were melting all because of Global Warming. The judge found these to be scientific errors.

He also dismissed Mr Gore's claims that Hurricane Katrina was caused by Global Warming.

The incandescent bulb is being outlawed; in its place are the compact fluorescent bulbs that contain mercury a hazardous material. There are reports about mercury in the water supply and in certain fish and it is deadly. (Mercury poisoning) Thomas Edison has to be rolling in his grave.

Al Gore, Chairman of Generation Investment Management LLP, has been making money from this hoax and just recently had Gnewt Gingrich do a commercial with Nancy Pelosi about Global Warming. Gingrich stated he had to get on the stage in order to discuss it, but by getting on Al Gore’s stage he accepted the premise of man made global warming. He should have had Al Gore come onto his stage with the scientists who could debunk this hoax. Again it is all about the money.

The House of Representatives just passed the Cap and Trade (i.e. Cap and Tax) bill because of the Hoax of global warming. This law will cause our energy prices to rise and make it more difficult for you to sell your home among other things. Obama stated under cap and trade he will bankrupt the coal industry and energy costs will necessarily skyrocket. Under a cap and trade system, government sets a cap on the total amount of carbon that can be emitted nationally; companies (like Goldman Sachs) then buy or sell permits to emit CO2. The cap then gets cranked down over time to reduce total carbon emissions, increasing costs. Remember ENRON? That was a company that traded in CO2 offsets.

This was another bill that was voted on by our Congressman without being read. Is it too much to ask our politicians to at least read the bills before they vote on them? What happened to Obama’s promise of “transparency,” and the bills being on the government’s website for five days for the citizens to review?

Immigration reform (amnesty) and healthcare (Nationalized Medicine) are also on the table. Obama and the Democrats are on the fast track towards Socialism, and that is why they are trying to rush these bills through before the public realizes the harm it will cause this country. What they are doing is not in the best interest of this country, it is about “control.” If they pass these things we will have to endure the results until the 2010 and 2012 elections, when we can get a chance to fire them, and roll these laws back.

As for major cities disapearing if the icebergs melt, just remember your Junior High Physics: Ice takes up more space than water; and the majority of an iceberg is below the waterline.
